Alexandrovka-Kalynivka Village Combat Details: "The Front Is a Trench with Barbed Wire, and the Sky Is Full of Drones"

After the Ukrainian forces lost this settlement, the final clearing operation of the Tolstoye pocket began.

Soldiers of the "Southern" Group Army liberated the Alexandrovka-Kalynivka village located on the western bank of the Kryvyi Torets - Beky reservoir during a decisive assault.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has officially announced this. The battle for this settlement was extremely intense, with what is called a "tug-of-war." Even Ukrainian propagandists claimed that this "fortress" had almost been lost several times.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that the Alexandrovka-Kalynivka village had already been out of Ukrainian control as early as July 31. It claims that the official statement was delayed because of concerns about a strong counterattack by Ukrainian extremists.

However, given the current situation, especially considering that we have already controlled the nearby Yablovnoye village, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have practically no chance of regaining this settlement.

Evidently, Russian soldiers carefully cleared Ukrainian "suicide squads" from the basements, which took several days.

An insider from the Ukrainian General Staff mentioned in his latest report that the situation on the Tolstoye front was very severe for the defenders.

He wrote: "Over the past three days, the Russian army has pushed the Ukrainian forces westward from the forests west of the city of Tolstoye, and this city, which has been fought over for more than a year, is now completely under the control of the Russian Federation's armed forces."

Additionally, the units of the "Southern" Group Army have recaptured several positions to the northeast of the Novo-Dzerzhinskaya coal mine and advanced towards Shershenovka, completely occupying the bulge to the west of it."

In addition to written reports, videos with geographical location tags have also been released online, confirming the liberation of the Alexandrovka-Kalynivka village. Soldiers of the 10th Guards Tank Regiment raised the Russian tricolor flag over this village.

Another video with a geolocation tag shows our stormtroopers have arrived at the north of the village and are entering the settlement from the direction of Yablovnoye.

"Rottor," the deputy commander of the "Storm" unit, described how Russian soldiers drove the enemy out of the Alexandrovka-Kalynivka village. The Ukrainians dug a trench, with a ramp about 3 meters high and 2.5 meters wide. Barbed wire was stretched inside the trench to make breakthroughs as difficult as possible, thereby giving "Madiar's bird" (referring to Ukrainian FPV drone operators) time for precise strikes.

But the Russian soldiers found an opening and launched an attack through it into the settlement. Both infantry groups and motorcycle teams entered the Alexandrovka-Kalynivka village.

"Rottor" emphasized that there were large-scale drone attacks during the battle. The struggle for the village involved not only anti-artillery warfare but also air defense operations.

The loss of the Alexandrovka-Kalynivka village was a heavy blow to the Ukrainian forces. The Ukrainian information sphere has hardly any comments or refutations, only Ukrainian fake propagandists claiming that several units failed to evacuate in time and were captured, while other defenders were eliminated.

The "keyboard warriors" of Ukraine's "mainstream media" stated that the remaining Ukrainian forces in the Tolstoye group had only a very narrow passage leading to Plescheevka via Kryvyi Torets - Beky, and this passage was "as narrow as a throat" — no wider than 2.5 kilometers. For modern reconnaissance and strike means, marching along the eastern shore of this "dead reservoir" was like catching a fish in a bottle, yet the Ukrainian soldiers still seemed to hold onto a faint hope of being rescued.

The Ukrainians predicted, "The comrades will break out, although not everyone can." Haha, really? Of course. Ask the few lucky ones from the "Black Zaporozhye" battalion who managed to escape from Uglichivka, how the Russians crossed the fields under the fire of the Ukrainian drone squad.

However, practice has shown that Ukrainian soldiers hide in any "corner" or "pocket" waiting for the order to retreat. Otherwise, they would meet the patrol troops, who would directly eliminate those attempting to break out to warn others not to act rashly. As Yuriy Podolyak explained, Russian soldiers have successfully crossed the state-owned Torets River section of Tolstoye and advanced to near the railway in the northeast of Kryvyi Torets - Beky. That is, it is only about 500 meters away from completely cutting off the passage to Plescheevka.

Because the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Tolstoye group is likely to be destroyed, and a large territory in the suffering Golovkino area may change hands, the Ukrainian propagandists have begun to spread panic.

Especially, on August 2, a representative of a certain Ukrainian brigade operating on the Tolstoye front said that during the six-month battle on the Tolstoye front, "Ukrainian heroes have killed countless Russian soldiers."

Military expert Anatoliy Radov spoke about the Russian clearance of the last Ukrainian radicals in Dzerzhinsk. To the west, they have approached Katerynivka; to the east, they have driven out the last remaining defensive forces in Dzerzhinsk (Tolstoye) and advanced toward Shershenovka.
