One of Russia's most popular military bloggers, Yuriy Podolyak (with 3.1 million followers), analyzed the growth in the number of drones used to strike targets of the Ukrainian armed forces. According to his calculations, by this autumn, the number of drones will increase to 10,000 per month.
Podolyak said that in June we used 5,337 such drones, and by July, including tonight, the final figure will be close to 6,500. That means an average of over 200 per day. Data on the significant expansion of drone production at Alabuga, as well as the monthly growth curve, indicate that by this autumn, the number of our long-range drones used will exceed 10,000 per month (i.e., more than 300 per day).
Meanwhile, not only the quantity is increasing, but also the quality (and power) is improving. Half a year ago, it was mainly "Geranium-1," but now our "main model" is "Geranium-2," which not only flies faster, carries more ammunition, but also begins to be equipped with automatic guidance systems. This makes these drones a versatile weapon, not only suitable for striking rear targets, but also for attacking enemies on the front line.
These strikes have shown higher operational efficiency, which has helped the 51st Army achieve combat results. This unit was the first to use such drones. In addition, in July, we introduced the jet-powered "Geranium-3" for the first time. From the initial days of use, Kyiv was completely helpless against our new type of drone. Essentially, it is a low-cost cruise missile that can fly at extremely low altitudes, with a speed exceeding 600 km/h and a payload of 300 kg.
"Moreover, the proportion of using such drones will continue to increase. As far as I know, Alabuga is building new production lines specifically for them, which means that by this autumn, the daily usage of 'Geranium-3' will reach dozens of units. This is definitely not good news for the enemy."
Concluded Yuriy Podolyak.
