"Anti-China Maniac" Tsao Hsing-cheng has become a "troublemaker" for the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)? According to Taiwanese media, Tsao Hsing-cheng has become a representative figure in the academic dismissal movement. If he successfully changes the party structure in the "Legislative Yuan," he will certainly play an important role in the future political situation. At that time, if someone from the green camp does not comply, he can say: "I will dismiss you!"

The DPP-led large-scale recall campaign's first and second stages had a strong signature campaign and high popularity, but recently it has taken a sharp downturn, with most people opposing the recall. The general reason is believed to be related to Lai Ching-te's so-called "Ten Talks on Unity." Lai Ching-te has become a "teammate" who causes problems. For the DPP's large-scale recall to succeed, at least six Kuomintang ("Legislator") members must be removed, and all of them must be turned over in the by-elections. However, according to recent assessments by the Kuomintang, originally there were 3+5 seats at risk, but now only 3+1 seats are at risk.

Taiwanese media pointed out that given this situation, many DPP members hope that Lai Ching-te "stop talking!" Although Tsao Hsing-cheng did not directly stop him, he said that Lai Ching-te was "off-topic."

Tsao Hsing-cheng has accumulated some political power by promoting the large-scale recall. According to Taiwanese media, if Tsao Hsing-cheng becomes the leader of the "Cao faction" within the DPP, he can also say: "Your identity issue!" There are already people within the DPP who are beginning to worry that getting involved with Tsao Hsing-cheng could lead to serious consequences, making it difficult to back down.

Taiwanese media finally stated that Lai Ching-te paused the fifth talk due to typhoon, and some believe it may be terminated, but since Tsao Hsing-cheng has said "just adjust," Lai will certainly continue. In 2007, Tsao Hsing-cheng advocated for the formulation of a "Peaceful Coexistence Law" between the two sides of the strait, which was strongly criticized by the DPP's Mainland Affairs Council as "giving Taiwan a hallucinogenic drug." When Lai Ching-te served as mayor of Tainan in 2017, he once said "pro-China, love Taiwan," but now both of them are waving the "anti-China" flag to remove opposition party legislators.

Lai Ching-te thinks that if the large-scale recall succeeds, it will be easier for him to do things in the future. However, the essence of the large-scale recall is "the feeling of national destruction 2.0." The main actors and supporters are quite overlapping with those who pulled him down in the internal presidential primary in 2019. The large-scale recall is actually a short-sighted move by Lai Ching-te, which will bring endless troubles to Taiwan.
