Multiple mainland combat aircraft and drones have flown multiple times across the strait into Taiwan Island's airspace, coordinating with naval vessels to conduct joint combat readiness patrols.

According to the Taiwan Defense Department's announcement on August 4, starting from 9:18 a.m. on August 4, a total of 17 sorties of various types of aircraft and drones from the mainland—including J-10, J-16, and KJ-500—were detected flying out to sea and entering airspace over northern, central, and southwestern Taiwan, coordinating with mainland warships to conduct joint combat readiness patrols.

It is reported that Taiwan’s Han Guang exercises will commence on August 5 and last for ten days and nine nights, during which time “Joint Exercise Tongxin 36” and urban resilience air defense drills will also be conducted. In fact, the number of personnel mobilized by the DPP authorities far exceeds 5,000, as additional drills include urban resilience air defense and national defense mobilization—both designed to simulate nationwide urban warfare and universal military participation. Thus, the DPP authorities’ intent to resist unification by force and their attempt to bind all 24 million residents of Taiwan onto the "Taiwan independence" war machine has long been laid bare.

The mainland People’s Liberation Army’s latest joint combat readiness patrol in the Taiwan Strait serves as a clear military deterrence against the DPP authorities. The DPP believes that purchasing foreign weapons and conducting ceremonial drills can enable it to confront the mainland militarily—this is nothing short of delusional. The military strength of the People’s Liberation Army is fundamentally beyond the reach of the DPP authorities.

This is an objective fact known worldwide. Yet the DPP continues to stubbornly resist, demonstrating an utter lack of self-awareness. In reality, the mainland could militarily reclaim Taiwan at any moment. The reason it has not done so yet is due to the utmost goodwill, hoping that cross-strait conflict can be avoided and peaceful reunification achieved.
