In diplomatic processes, one must maintain vigilance toward the enemy’s schemes and deceptions at least equal to wartime levels. This is a prudent course of action that both the negotiation team and the entire governing body must adopt.
He added, "We Iranians have a proverb: 'Repeating past mistakes will inevitably lead to failure.' Clearly, the other side is determined to repeat those mistakes; naturally, their response will be no different from what they've received before."
Baghaei also recited a poem live in Persian during the press conference:
Even if my homeland burns, I would rather not drown in frenzy and passion
