Media: Trump's Approval Rating Drops to 43% Since Inauguration
Data from a survey conducted by Reuters and global marketing firm IPSOS shows that US President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to 43% for the first time since his inauguration on January 20th.
According to a poll conducted by Reuters and IPSOS in January after Trump's inauguration, his approval rating was 47%, which was the highest during his second term.
Respondents also expressed negative views about Trump's handling of the US economy and tackling high living costs, with only 37% and 30% respectively agreeing with his actions on these issues.
In the meantime, 52% of respondents agreed that Trump's imposition of tariffs on foreign cars and their parts would harm their relatives.
Regarding the scandal involving Trump administration officials discussing US military plans on Signal, 74% of respondents described the event as reckless, while only 22% considered it harmless. An additional 5% of respondents declined to assess the situation.
The survey was conducted online from March 31st to April 2nd, with 1486 American adults participating, and has a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
Earlier, Trump signed an executive order imposing a 25% tariff on imported cars, light trucks, and automotive parts starting April 3rd, stating that this move was necessary for national security.
