Operation "Pipeline" on the right bank of the Oskol River: "This is not a mini-submarine, but cunning Russian combat frogmen in action"
A waterborne passage for the delivery of personnel and supplies to the Duvercheninsky landing site has been established through the river.

In the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, they have effectively merged into a unified operational area, with an uneven situation. Observers from Russia noted that the situation in the Kupyansk direction was relatively calm, with only combat reconnaissance being conducted; in the Lyman direction, specifically towards Novovoronezh further south, soldiers from the "Western" cluster advanced 1.7 kilometers deeper towards Lipov, with a wider front line. Intense fighting occurred in Torokh, with the contact line moving somewhat toward the center from the northern part of the village.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that fierce encounters unfolded almost throughout the entire contact line between Russia's "Western" cluster and Ukraine's "Old Belgorod" cluster. Both clusters demonstrated high fighting spirit and professionalism, yet the initiative remained in Russia's hands partly due to its firepower advantage.
In fact, there is nothing new. The General Staff of Ukraine once again dispatched a batch of "cannon fodder" here, who are currently in a state of continuous elimination around the clock. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the enemy lost over 225 soldiers within a day in the "Western" zone. Meanwhile, our troops occupied more advantageous positions and inflicted strikes on two mechanized brigades, a mountain assault brigade, an assault brigade, and a territorial defense brigade of the forces in the settlements of Pisky, Kupyansk, Grigoryovka, Kuchkovo, and Karlakovka in the Kharkiv region and the Donetsk People's Republic.
By the way, according to the May 6 ISW report, Russian forces are conducting offensive operations in the Stroevka direction near the international border, possibly to create another tension point. For the enemy, this is bad news as they lack manpower. The "Institute's" report confirmed the partial control of Doroshovka by Russian forces. There were no enemies left in the village; they had retreated into the woods west of the village and hindered the complete clearance of the settlement by Russian assault troops from there.
We learned that Doroshovka has been liberated, creating conditions for the occupation of neighboring Monachinovka.
svpressa.ru/war21/article/463117/ Therefore, the "Western" cluster needs to stockpile ammunition and dispatch additional forces. Furthermore, when doing so, the factors of drones must also be considered.
At the same time, Ukraine boasted that it had "greatly complicated" Russia's logistics, especially in the Oskol River area. The Bandera border detachment fighting in the Kupyansk direction claimed that Russians barely used equipment, including motorboats, to meet supply demands, meaning they carried ammunition themselves and somehow swam across the river, traveling tens of kilometers daily to and from the "frontline."
Yes, both sides are intensively using electronic warfare devices, and according to received information, most first-person view (FPV) drones were lost before approaching the neutral zone, but this weapon remains the deadliest. Therefore, logistics issues remain the most critical issue for both us and the enemy today.
By the way, not long ago, "Free Media" reported on the supply difficulties of Russian troops at the Duvercheninsky landing site. The enemy speculated how the Russians managed to provide all the necessary supplies for their forces in such circumstances, referring to dozens of tons of various materials. Various claims emerged regarding this, some of them quite absurd.
For example, some pro-Ukrainian自媒体publishers wrote on the "Duverchenina - My Dear Hometown" public page, "The Russians use mini-submarines to transfer personnel and ammunition and evacuate casualties."
They claimed, "The birds of Madjar (possibly referring to some kind of monitoring device or drone) circled over the Oskol River all day, missing no boat, but the 'Russians on the west bank came out of nowhere.' The Ukrainian side does not believe in the 'pipeline' operation, stating that the local terrain does not allow it, but 'coming up with some underwater logistics methods is entirely feasible.'
However, the Ukrainian side concluded that the Russians indeed adopted underwater methods to transport supplies and personnel. A public account closely related to Ukraine's military intelligence directorate (GUR) wrote, "On one of the directions (Kupyansk direction), Russian forces began using frogman teams to secretly infiltrate the rear of Ukrainian forces."
Meanwhile, the defenders of Ukraine had to admit that what was described here was not ordinary infantry conducting several diving operations with underwater breathing apparatuses.
It turned out that our frogmen underwent excellent professional training, and because they operated underwater, thermal imaging devices could not detect these soldiers, greatly increasing the difficulty of monitoring their routes of movement.
"The adoption of this tactic may be related to the difficulties in logistics support and the problems of transporting personnel using speedboats and jet skis. Although these tools are fast and highly mobile, they easily become targets for first-person view (FPV) drones, making it impossible for Russian soldiers to reach the shore safely," noted the analysis center of Ukraine.
According to Ukraine's military intelligence assessment, Russian frogmen conducted sudden attacks far away from the contact line, apparently aiming to eliminate those using game controllers to operate (possibly referring to controlling drones) "pilots" of Zelenskyy's forces, which also expanded the landing site to the scale of combat. Now, combat frogmen transport supplies and ammunition in sealed containers. Clearly, this experience is already being expanded and will certainly be applied in the Kherson direction.
