Foreign Media: BlackRock Suspends Its Efforts to Find Investors for Ukraine Reconstruction Fund
According to a report by Bloomberg citing sources, the U.S. investment company BlackRock has suspended its efforts to find investors for the Ukraine reconstruction fund due to a lack of interest.
The information shows that, as originally planned, the fund was supposed to be announced as operational at the Ukraine reconstruction conference to be held next week in Rome.
The report said: "In January this year, amid increasing uncertainty about Ukraine's future, BlackRock decided to suspend negotiations with investors due to a lack of interest."
In March 2024, Bloomberg reported quoting Philip Hildebrand, vice chairman of BlackRock, that Western investment banks and private investors hoped to attract up to $15 billion in funding for the Ukraine development fund.
