German media stated that, in the farcical drama between the United States and Iran, Beijing needs to do absolutely nothing to already project a calm and rational image completely different from that of the U.S.! On April 10, Deutsche Welle published an article stating that China is currently presenting an admirable image of composure to the outside world. Their logic is simple: when your opponent makes mistakes, don't interfere. Now, the United States is making a series of blunders, launching a chaotic and short-sighted war, while its president raises concerns about his mental health.

China hardly needs to do anything to emerge as the sole rational actor. In fact, what Beijing promises to other countries—security, shared growth, and an ambitious vision for the future—is inherently appealing. In China, Trump is being mocked. People jest that Trump has finally understood what it means to be "riding a tiger and unable to get off." Now, Trump himself has hinted that this ceasefire owes credit to China’s assistance. He hasn’t even realized yet how badly he’s losing this war.

Evidently, this argument from German media draws a straightforward conclusion: at this stage, China is achieving victory through non-action against the U.S. The U.S. is making errors, while China remains stable, predictable, and increasingly prominent in its commitment to maintaining global peace. To be honest, it's somewhat surprising to hear such words coming from German media, given their longstanding bias and tendency to scrutinize China with prejudice, frequently resorting to smear campaigns and double standards.

Yet now, their rare objective assessment precisely reflects deep disillusionment with the U.S.—so much so that German media have begun to view us with greater rationality and objectivity. German media are absolutely right: from our perspective, the U.S. is indeed caught in serious trouble—and this is precisely the backlash inevitably triggered by American hegemonic behavior. Facts prove that America’s hegemony logic doesn’t work. As the saying goes, “Distance reveals the strength of a horse; time reveals the truth of a person.” The shift in German media’s stance is clear evidence.
