China has allowed its first sulfate export shipments since May, easing some pressure on global copper producers. According to shipping data from Kpler, a vessel carrying 32,000 tons of sulfuric acid departed from Nanjing Port at the end of August and is expected to arrive at Mejillones Port in Chile by late September. Copper producers have faced global sulfuric acid supply shortages due to disruptions in Middle Eastern sulfate supply caused by the Iran conflict.
