Russian Foreign Ministry: Massive Missile Strikes Loom if Kyiv Disrupts Victory Day Celebrations

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that, according to Moscow's information, Zelenskyy never issued any order for a ceasefire to the Ukrainian military between May 5 and May 6.

The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out that on May 5–6, Moscow witnessed Kyiv violating its own declared ceasefire agreement—this is not the first time. The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the Russian armed forces will continue resolutely countering any military provocations by Kyiv.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Zaharova, said in a briefing that announcing a ceasefire was intended to disrupt Russia’s initiative, as well as due to Ukraine’s armed forces being in extremely difficult conditions on the front lines.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that if Kyiv attempts to disrupt the Victory Day celebrations, it could face massive missile strikes.

The Russian Foreign Ministry urged all parties to take seriously the warnings regarding the consequences of Kyiv’s violation of the Victory Day ceasefire agreement.
