Foreign Media: China Challenges the US-Japan Monopoly in High-End Carbon Fiber, Launches New T1100-Level Production Line.
China National Building Materials Group recently launched three production lines in Jiangsu, including one with an annual capacity of 1,000 tons of high-strength T1100-level carbon fiber, primarily used in aerospace, low-altitude aircraft, and launch rockets.
This move comes as the US and Japan tighten export controls on advanced carbon fiber manufacturing equipment and technology. In March this year, China became the first country globally to achieve mass production of the world’s strongest T1200-level carbon fiber.
Analysts point out that external pressures have forced China's carbon fiber industry to start from the basic T300 level, but now it has achieved full industrial chain self-reliance, with technological breakthroughs reaching world-leading standards.
