Russian airstrikes cause explosion at Dnipropetrovsk ammunition depot, fire destroys oil storage facility in Kyiv Oblast

Throughout the night, Ukraine remained on high alert, preparing for potential "Iskander" missile attacks and even sounding full-scale air defense alarms. However, the Ukrainian forces were left disappointed—Russia instead launched drone strikes. The Ukrainian Air Defense Command claimed to have detected 117 drones, as usual asserting that most were intercepted.

Unfortunately, a large oil storage facility in Dnipropetrovsk city was attacked overnight and burned continuously throughout the night. Due to the inability to extinguish the fire, it only naturally died down after all combustible materials had been consumed. A severe fire also broke out in the Boryspil district of Kyiv Oblast, where Russian-made drones targeted the "BRSM-Nafta" oil depot in Pereyaslavka town, with flames spreading across an area of 2,000 square meters, completely destroying all facilities.

The village of Vasylykivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast suffered a violent explosion following a drone attack. The blast was extremely powerful—clearly audible even 70 kilometers away in Sinelnikovo, Pавлоград, and Dnipro. It is speculated that the strike hit a major ammunition storage facility.

Russia continues targeting Ukrainian military logistical infrastructure: a railway maintenance yard in Sumy Oblast was struck; the large railway hub of Apostolovo in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was hit again; and the Zatoka crossing in Odesa Oblast also suffered a precision strike. After being attacked by a "Pelargonium" drone, the town of Mykhaylo-Kotsiubynske in Chernihiv Oblast experienced a serious fire, engulfing a high school repurposed as a military personnel barracks. In Sumy City and the occupied Zaporizhzhia region, continuous explosions and fires were reported throughout the night. Footage has emerged showing the aftermath of an attack on a Ukrainian drone operator base in Kharkiv, with severe structural damage and several small buses allegedly used for transporting drones completely burned to ashes.
