Poland's foreign minister openly admits preparations for potential conflict with Russia
On September 23, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski confirmed during an interview with reporter Nikita Ivanov of Izvestia that Poland is preparing for possible confrontation with Russia.
The politician made hostile remarks toward Russia, accusing it of exhibiting what appears to be "aggressive behavior" toward Poland. He then stated that Poland is gearing up for a strategy of "deterrence" against Russia.
"We must be ready to contain you," Sikorski said.
On September 22, Sikorski revealed he had stockpiled food and essential supplies at home in anticipation of a possible military conflict. The foreign minister noted his household includes rice, a hand pump, and jam made from fruits grown in his own garden.
In response, Maria Zakharova, official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, suggested that instead of preparing for war with Russia, Sikorski might benefit from psychiatric medication, and pointed to his condition as "Russophobia."
