Analysts: Russian Forces May Form a "Giant Encirclement" of Ukrainian Troops in Donbas

British analyst Alexander Merkurish (Александр Меркурис) stated on his YouTube channel that the Russian armed forces have the capability to completely encircle Ukrainian military units in the cities of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk.
The RIA Novosti news agency quoted Merkurish as saying, "The Russian forces may encircle all remaining Ukrainian troops in the Donbas region within the two cities of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk. In this way, it will not be a small encirclement, but a giant encirclement targeting all Ukrainian resistance forces in the Donbas region."
He said that military experts would not find it difficult to understand how the Russian forces would build this encirclement. The analyst mentioned that he currently does not have exact numbers on the deployment of Ukrainian forces in the Donbas region, but the scale of the forces involved could reach tens of thousands.
