China's Infrastructure Opportunities: Kazakhstan to Build a "Technology City," with specific details to be announced by the government soon.

Editor's Note: This is another new city being promoted by Kazakhstan, following the "Alatau" new town near the Chinese border. The author believes that the harsh climate conditions in northern Kazakhstan are too severe, and it is highly likely that the "Technology City" will be built in the south or in the seven river basins where the environment is lush and the climate mild.

The greater Central Asia region, including Mongolia, Afghanistan, and Azerbaijan, has sparked a wave of new city construction, old city renovation, and urban reconstruction (as in the case of Azerbaijan reclaiming the Nagorno-Karabakh region - Editor's Note), which also heralds opportunities for Chinese enterprises.

Kazakhstan International News Agency, April 12th - Kazakhstan will build a "Technology City." Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumanharin revealed this news.

"This is still confidential at the moment. We are currently formulating relevant plans. Perhaps you have already heard some rumors about it. The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has proposed building a technology city. As for what the city will include and other more detailed information, the government will release it in the near future," Zhumanharin briefly replied during an interview on the Bizdin Orta podcast by the Kazinform agency.
