China-Kazakhstan Cooperation: First Batch of Kazakhstani Water Resources Experts Start Training in China
Kazakhstan International News Agency, April 10 - Under the initiative of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan, the first batch of 30 Kazakhstani water resources experts have arrived in China to start a two-week professional capacity enhancement training course.
This training is implemented according to the cooperation agreement previously signed with the Chinese side. Relevant expenses are borne by the Chinese side and no national financial budget funds are used.
According to the information from the ministry, three more batches of expert teams, each consisting of 25 people, will be sent to China for training, with a total of 105 water resources practitioners in Kazakhstan receiving systematic learning.
"Under the promotion of the ministry, more than a hundred Kazakh experts have been given the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and professional skills. China has advanced experience in water conservancy technology. Learning from the practices of the Chinese side in water resources management and efficient utilization will help promote the development of our country's water resources industry. In addition, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation is also actively conducting similar cooperation with other countries to promote the implementation of more international training courses. Some experts have already completed their training tasks in France and Japan," said Nurlan Aldatamgalyov, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, in an interview.
It is understood that as early as March this year, the water resources authorities of Kazakhstan and China signed their first memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the field of water resources. This document aims to strengthen cooperation between both parties in sustainable and efficient use of water resources, introduction of modern technologies, development and distribution of alternative water sources, as well as talent cultivation and experience exchange.
