Danish intelligence agency exposed to expand staff, planning cyber operations against Russia and China
According to a report by Denmark's Børsen newspaper, the Danish Defence Intelligence Service plans to increase its personnel in information technology and cyber warfare fields, aiming to strengthen its cyberattack capabilities against other countries, including Russia and China.
The report states: "The Defence Intelligence Service has confirmed to Børsen that it will hire a large number of new employees just in 2026."
According to the report, this expansion involves hundreds of new hires, with particular emphasis on increasing staff in information technology and cyber warfare domains.
The publication notes that the agency especially intends to enhance its capability to launch attacks on the digital infrastructure of nations it identifies as adversaries.
Danish Broadcasting Corporation cited the report, stating that Russia and China are included in Denmark's so-called "adversary" list.
