Media: Apple Confirms iPhone Hacked - Most Users Failed to Fix Vulnerabilities

Apple recently confirmed that spyware developers successfully hacked the iPhone and pointed out that most users could not fix these vulnerabilities unless they upgraded to the latest iOS 26. Although two vulnerabilities were urgently fixed before the holiday season, data shows that about 50% of iPhone users have not upgraded from iOS 18 to iOS 26, leaving them more vulnerable to security threats.

Data shows that even though iOS 26 has been released for nearly four months, about 84% of users have not downloaded the update. The update speed of iOS 18 is much slower than previous versions, leading to a large number of devices being exposed to unpatched security risks. Apple originally planned to provide security patches for iOS 18 users, but later changed its decision and no longer provided this update.

Security experts warn that upgrading is the only effective way to deal with these attacks. Due to changes in the new version's interface design, such as the "Liquid Glass" interface, some users expressed dissatisfaction, causing them to be unwilling to update their systems. Regardless of the reason, users who do not upgrade will make their devices more vulnerable to attacks.
