South Korean media: Apple's market share in China's smartphone market in November was 26%, twice that of Huawei!
On December 25, South Korean media "Joongang Daily" published an article stating that due to the "Singles' Day" shopping festival, smartphone sales in China increased by 3% in November, with Apple's iPhone market share reaching 26%, securing an overwhelming first place. Huawei had only 13%, ranking third.
Data from market research company Counterpoint Research shows that Huawei's market share dropped from 17% last year to 13% this year, a decrease of four percentage points, the largest decline among major brands. Analysts believe that the sales of the new flagship "Mate 80" did not meet expectations. Xiaomi's sales also declined slightly but still held 17% of the market, continuing to rank second.
Counterpoint predicts that Apple's global shipments will reach 243 million units next year, exceeding Samsung Electronics (235 million units). Therefore, Apple's global smartphone market share is expected to be 19.4%, while Samsung Electronics is expected to be 18.7%.
The improvement in Apple's performance has been led by the improved sales of the iPhone 17 series (including iPhone Air) launched in September. According to statistics, sales in the United States increased by 12% within four weeks of its launch compared to the previous generation iPhone 16, and by 18% in China.
A South Korean industry insider said, "The sales rebound in the Chinese market has become an important stepping stone for Apple to try to reclaim the top spot in the global smartphone market."
