U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent Says Trump Has No Plan to Delay His China Visit for a Second Time!

Reported by RIA Novosti on May 4.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in an interview with Fox News Channel that President Donald Trump has no intention of postponing his visit to China once again.

“As far as I know, he does not plan to delay this trip,” he stated.

The U.S. leader originally planned to visit the People's Republic of China at the end of March, but the schedule was postponed to mid-May due to military tensions in the Middle East.

Bessent emphasized that no further delays like this will occur.

News about Trump’s visit to China had already surfaced as early as March 2025.

According to diplomatic sources, the U.S. leader might have visited China in April, but that plan ultimately fell through.

The two leaders did not meet until late October in South Korea.

In March this year, the White House had announced that Trump’s visit to China would take place from March 31 to April 2.

Chinese major media outlets confirmed that the actual arrangements for the visit were rescheduled to mid-May.
