The U.S. Treasury Secretary Guarantees Trump Won't Postpone His Visit to China Again

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent assured that President Donald Trump will not delay his visit to China for a second time.

Trump is scheduled to visit Beijing from May 14 to May 15. Originally, Trump had planned to visit Beijing from March 31 to April 2, but the trip was postponed due to the situation in Iran.

Bessent was asked during an interview with Fox News whether Trump would postpone his visit to China if "the U.S. remains at war with Iran."

He said: "As far as I know, he won’t delay the visit again."

In the meantime, Trump announced in a letter to Congress on May 2 that military operations against Iran have ended, adding that U.S. forces will continue to remain stationed in the region.
