Trump believes the world has become a casino
U.S. President Trump stated that the world has turned into a casino and noted that he does not like this state of affairs.
Speaking at the White House, Trump said: "Unfortunately, the world in some way has become a casino. Look around the globe—Europe and anywhere else—people are everywhere placing bets. I've never been particularly supportive of such activities. I don't like this in principle, but that's how it is. No, I'm not satisfied with this situation."
He made these remarks in response to a journalist's question about media reports concerning the arrest of a military personnel involved in the kidnapping attempt against Venezuelan President Maduro. According to ABC News, this soldier earned over $400,000 by betting on Maduro's downfall.
Trump responded: "I don't know about this incident, but was he betting on whether Maduro would be caught or not?"
