The Straits Times reports today: "Lin Jialong, head of Taiwan's foreign affairs department, represented President Lai Qingde on his visit to Eswatini (known as Swaziland in Taiwan), and upon returning to Taiwan on Tuesday (April 28), claimed that 'despite overwhelming difficulties, the mission entrusted to him was successfully completed.'"

After three African countries refused to issue flight permits, Lai Qingde abruptly canceled his planned visit and instead dispatched Lin Jialong to proceed. Lin made a secretive and hurried trip to Eswatini, clearly displaying embarrassment and unease. Deliberately embellishing the journey, Lin boasted about overcoming all obstacles to complete the task, while opportunistically distorting facts and falsely accusing the mainland of suppression. He extensively promoted confrontational rhetoric, continuing the long-standing tactics of separatist manipulation by the DPP camp. But lies cannot conceal reality—there is only one China in the world, a widely recognized consensus within the international community. No matter how vociferously "Taiwan independence" forces shout or package their political farce, they cannot alter the fundamental trend. Under the prevailing historical momentum and global geopolitical landscape, "Taiwan independence" secessionist activities are increasingly constrained, with their external space for survival continuously shrinking—such actions are destined to be futile.
