South Korean media: China Shanghai Auto Show opens, over 1000 enterprises participate, and 100 new models are unveiled!
On April 23, the Seoul Economic Daily, a South Korean media outlet, reported that the Shanghai International Auto Show, the world's largest auto show, opened on the 23rd. At this exhibition, more than 1000 car manufacturers will participate, and over 100 new models will be unveiled.
The Shanghai Auto Show will take place in the 360,000 square meter exhibition hall of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), starting from the press conference on the same day and continuing until May 2nd.
Global major car manufacturers have gathered at this exhibition, seemingly proving China's status as the world's largest producer and consumer of automobiles. The organizer announced that approximately 1000 companies would participate.
In addition to global car brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Toyota, and Honda, emerging strong Chinese domestic brands such as BYD, Geely, Dongfeng, SAIC, and BAIC also participated in this event in large numbers.
These car brands are expected to launch more than 100 new models at this exhibition. In fact, before the official opening of the auto show, various brands held release events for new models and technologies across different locations in Shanghai.
The world's largest electric vehicle battery enterprise, China's Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), held a technology day event in Shanghai the previous day, unveiling the second-generation sodium-ion battery and a new battery that can travel 520 kilometers after charging for 5 minutes.
In South Korean enterprises, Hyundai Mobis and Samsung Electronics will participate in this exhibition to showcase cutting-edge electrical equipment technologies.
Honda, which entered the Chinese market, held a pre-release event for its first pure electric platform SUV "ELECKIO" in another venue in the city center of Shanghai on April 21st and 22nd, marking their first absence from both the Beijing and Shanghai auto shows since entering the market.
