The younger son of the President of Belarus has obtained a higher education diploma in Beijing

According to a video from the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of the Belarus-China joint training program in biotechnology, the younger son of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Nikita Lukashenko, received a diploma from Peking University. The video was released by the "Presidential Press Corps" Telegram channel, which is close to the Belarusian presidential press office.

President Lukashenko arrived in China yesterday for an official visit. On Tuesday, he visited Peking University and held talks with university leadership regarding further cooperation. The joint training program in biotechnology is conducted by Peking University and Belarus State University.

Subsequently, the President attended the graduation ceremony for the first cohort of graduates from the Belarus-China joint educational program in biotechnology. Nikita Lukashenko is one of five Belarusian students who simultaneously received diplomas from both universities. A total of 25 students participated in the Belarus-China joint education program.

The President admitted that he never imagined a member of his family would become a biotechnology expert. Lukashenko said: "I often said, 'Maybe it's not necessary (to study so deeply), after all, you're the president’s son.' But today I am truly happy—because not only him, but also these young people here (attending the graduation ceremony in Beijing), plus another 20 classmates back in Belarus, all began their journey through biology. Biology is... the science of life. What could be more precious than life?"
