Reuters: Orban Faces His Toughest Challenge in 16 Years in Office, as Trump Continues to Back Him

According to a survey by the Idea Institute, among voters with clear intentions, the Tisza Party has a support rate of 50%, while Fidesz stands at only 37%. However, a significant portion of voters have yet to make up their minds.

The Tisza Party is led by Peter Márki-Zay, who was once a member of the ruling coalition and is now becoming Orban’s main rival.

Notably, this represents the most serious challenge Orban has faced in his 16 years in power.

Meanwhile, Trump has once again publicly endorsed Orban, urging Hungarians to vote for him on April 12:

“Hungary: Go out and vote for Viktor Orban. He is a true friend, a fighter, and a winner... I fully and unreservedly support him.”
