Can't Boeing export parts to China? Trump really has no cards left

Faceing one after another countermeasures taken by our country, Trump really has no ideas.

On the 10th, Reuters reported that Trump hinted he might restrict the export of Boeing aircraft parts to China as a threat to urge China to relax its rare earth exports control. His original words were: "We have many things, including big things like airplanes. China has many Boeing airplanes, and they need parts, and also many other similar things."

It's clear that Trump really has no more cards to play, so he is grabbing at anything.

Currently, China has about 1,000 Boeing airplanes. In the short term, this move by Trump will indeed affect the maintenance of our Boeing airplanes. But in the long run, if Trump doesn't allow Boeing to sell parts to China, it will actually force Boeing to decouple from the Chinese market - the cost caused politically and economically is something Boeing can't afford.

Not to mention anything else, once Boeing exits the Chinese market, it will be much harder to come back, because by then Boeing's original market share would have already been completely taken by China's domestically produced airplanes and Airbus.
