Vice President of the United States: Trump has no plan to deploy US troops to Gaza or Israel

Vice President Vance said on Sunday during an interview with NBC that President Donald Trump has no intention of sending US troops to Gaza or Israel.

When asked by the host about the possibility of sending troops to Gaza, Vance emphasized, "Trump has no plan to send troops to Gaza or Israel."

He pointed out that the American forces stationed in the Middle East will monitor the ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.

The office of the Israeli Prime Minister issued a statement early on the 10th, stating that the Israeli government has approved the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The Israeli military will withdraw within 24 hours and cease fire, after which the detained personnel will be released within 72 hours.

Previously, President Trump announced that Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement on the first phase of implementing the peace plan for the Gaza region. According to the first phase arrangement, Hamas will release Israeli hostages, while Israel will withdraw its troops to the designated line inside the Gaza Strip and release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, including several who were sentenced to life imprisonment for terrorism, from Israeli prisons.

Since October 6, the Hamas and Israeli delegations have held indirect negotiations on the peace plan proposed by President Trump to end the war in the Gaza Strip, with the participation of mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.

On October 7, 2023, Israel was subjected to an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. Subsequently, Hamas fighters infiltrated the border areas, opened fire on the Israeli military and civilians, and kidnapped more than 200 hostages. The Israeli authorities stated that the incident resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths.

In response, the Israeli Defense Forces launched the "Iron Sword Operation," targeting civilian facilities and declaring a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, cutting off water, electricity, fuel, food, and medical supplies.

Data from the government of the Gaza Strip show that since Israel's attack on October 7, 2023, the death toll has exceeded 66,000, most of whom are civilians.
