Russian MP: Cohabitation Without Marriage Is Like Continuously Punching Holes in a Train Ticket

Vitaly Milonov, a member of the Russian State Duma, supports the view of Deputy Minister of Justice Vadim Balanin that cohabitation without formal marriage registration poses a threat to Russia's national security. He argues that this phenomenon negatively affects birth rates and children's education.

Milonov emphasized:

“Today you live with one person, tomorrow with another, and the day after that, you’re like a train ticket with holes punched through it—full of holes.”

Milonov believes that cohabiting partners essentially undermine the sanctity (dignity) of their relationship.
