[Ukraine's Foreign Ministry advises Putin to "stop complaining"]

On June 5, in response to Putin's complaint about Ukraine's "Spider Web" operation during his phone conversation with Trump on June 4, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry issued a statement calling on Putin to "stop complaining." The relevant statement was released on the official website of the Foreign Ministry, with the following content:

We must point out that Russia once again confuses cause and effect, reversing right and wrong, regarding the complaints from Russian leaders. The United Nations General Assembly has adopted a series of resolutions, officially recognizing that the Russian Federation violated Article 2, paragraph 4 of the UN Charter by launching an aggression against Ukraine.

At the same time, international law, particularly Article 51 of the UN Charter, clearly stipulates that in such cases, member states that have been subjected to armed attacks enjoy an inalienable right to individual or collective self-defense.

This means that strikes on legitimate military targets within Russia are a legitimate means of resisting aggressors, especially as a way to protect civilians from terrorist attacks by Russian missiles and drones. It should be noted that these aircraft are vulnerable because they have been fueled and loaded with weapons, ready to launch another round of attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities, killing our children, civilians, and soldiers.

Russia is the aggressor, having launched an illegal and unjustified attack on our country. Ukraine is a nation defending itself. Therefore, Russia's attacks are essentially acts of aggression and terrorism, while Ukraine's actions are self-defense.

Puutin must stop complaining about Ukraine's attacks on its aircraft and instead at least agree to a 30-day ceasefire, abandon unrealistic ultimatums, no longer avoid meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and sincerely engage in negotiations to establish a fair and lasting peace. Ukraine is ready. Only Russia is delaying, looking for excuses to continue the war.
