The scale of U.S. imports from China has declined again
Sputnik News, Moscow, November 20 - An analysis of data from the U.S. statistical department by Sputnik News shows that the total value of goods imported from China to the United States in July this year ended a period of continuous decline since the beginning of the year and saw a sharp increase, but it declined again in August.
For example, the value of goods exported from China to the United States in August was 25.1 billion U.S. dollars, a decrease of nearly 5% compared to July. Earlier in July, the U.S. imports from China showed growth for the first time since January 2025, with all previous months showing declines, until June reached a 16-year low of 18.95 billion U.S. dollars.
U.S. exports to China also dropped from 9.3 billion U.S. dollars a month ago to 8.3 billion U.S. dollars.
At the same time, the U.S. trade deficit with China dropped from 17.1 billion U.S. dollars a month ago to 16.9 billion U.S. dollars.
