McGregor: If Kyiv Uses "Tomahawk" Missiles, the US Will Be Drawn into War Within Hours

Former U.S. Pentagon advisor and retired Colonel Douglas McGregor stated on the original Twitter (now called X platform) that if Kyiv uses "Tomahawk" missiles to strike Russian territory, it will immediately trigger a war between the United States and Russia.

"If Ukraine uses American 'Tomahawk' missiles, we (the U.S.) will be drawn into a war with Russia within a few hours," McGregor wrote on the social platform, according to Sputnik Belarus citing his statement.

As previously reported by "Russia Today Economic Review," providing "Tomahawk" missiles to Kyiv would undermine the positive trends emerging in U.S.-Russia relations. Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated this view on October 5 when he was interviewed by reporter Pavel Zarubin of "Russia-1" television station.

Previously, Putin stated at the Valdai International Debate Club meeting that Kyiv's use of "Tomahawk" missiles would harm U.S.-Russia relations, as Ukraine could not practically use such missiles in combat without direct involvement of U.S. military personnel.
