The Ministry of Industry of Kazakhstan stated that the ore reserve of this mineral deposit is 1,000,000 tons, and the estimated total resource quantity at a depth of about 300 meters exceeds 20,000,000 tons.
This mineral deposit almost includes the entire Kuirektykol area. The discovered metals include cerium, lanthanum, neodymium, and yttrium. This discovery increases Kazakhstan's potential to supply critical raw materials to the United States and the European Union.
The Ministry of Industry of Kazakhstan also pointed out that Kazakhstan can provide 21 elements from the U.S. list of 50 critical raw materials and 19 minerals from the EU list of 34 minerals.
Previously, the United States mainly obtained rare earth materials from Kazakhstan.
