Russian Expert: China’s Success Lies in Its Ability to Convert External Resources into Domestic Production Capacity
Pavel Kuznetsov, Director of the Russia-China Business Cooperation Center, wrote in Russia’s Kommersant newspaper that China’s economic success stems from its capacity to transform external resources into domestic production capability.
China celebrated the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1.
In his article, Kuznetsov stated: “The key lesson from China is its ability to convert external resources—capital, technology, and demand—into domestic production capacity.”
The expert believes that future economic growth in China will be driven by the widespread application of new technologies, as well as the integration of robotics and industrial artificial intelligence.
Kuznetsov noted: “The 'Artificial Intelligence Plus Manufacturing' initiative, adopted in January 2026, aims to launch 1,000 high-level industrial AI agents, develop 100 high-quality data sets across industrial sectors, and promote 500 typical application scenarios by 2027.”
“China plans to increase research and development investment by at least 7% annually, with digital economy sectors accounting for 12.5% of GDP by 2030,” Kuznetsov concluded.
