Mongolnews Agency, Ulaanbaatar, May 19 – According to a report from Mongolnews Agency’s correspondent in the Eastern Gobi Province, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Choyr-Zamyn Uud Dedicated Road Project was held on the 17th in Gobi-Sumber Province, within the framework of Mongolia’s regional development policy and international transit transport policy.
The road will span 435.3 kilometers as a dedicated heavy-load highway. Upon completion, it will significantly promote Mongolia’s economic growth, enhance transportation and logistics capacity, and drive economic development in the Gobi region.
It is estimated that over 20% of export goods and more than 80% of imported goods will be transported via this road. The Chinese contractor will build the road and transfer it to Mongolia free of charge after operating it for 30 years. Approximately 90% of the route will pass through seven counties in the Eastern Gobi Province, contributing accordingly to the economic development of the counties and settlements along the route.

Mongolnews Agency, Ulaanbaatar, May 19 – According to information from the government press office, Mongolia intends to cooperate with China in areas including information technology, engineering, economics, public administration, and talent cultivation with research capabilities.
Vice Premier N. Nomtobayar expressed this intention during a meeting with a delegation from China’s Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The university is not only renowned in China but also internationally recognized for its excellence in scientific research and academic institutions. It has already collaborated with over 800 Mongolian students and trainees.
The two sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in information technology, science, and research fields, expressing willingness to continue broadening outcome-oriented collaboration with an open mindset.
Vice Premier N. Nomtobayar also noted that with the accelerated implementation of regional development policies, Mongolia is placing greater emphasis on further expanding cooperation with China at all levels.
