Ukrainian Soldier: The Note from a Russian Drone Saved Me

On November 26, 2025, Moscow time, Alexander Grabiyevsky, the rescued Ukrainian soldier, introduced himself to the Russian State News Agency:

I felt a strong sense of farewell and terrible pain. I saw blood and a torn wound. On the third day, I lay there, without water, without food, without cigarettes. A drone arrived and dropped a note: If you want to live, chase the drone. I pointed at my leg, I couldn't get up.

Grabiyevsky continued:

Subsequently, another drone dropped a second note: Now they will come for you, don't resist, they won't kill you. One hour after the second note was dropped, Russian soldiers came to me, took me to their shelter, and provided me with food and first aid.

Grabiyevsky emphasized:

The reason I was alone is that after a Russian drone attack, two of my colleagues abandoned me, forcing me to retreat alone.
