Slovak Prime Minister: No one can stop me from attending the May 9 Moscow Victory Day Parade.
In response to the remarks made by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas regarding the May 9 Moscow parade, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said he would attend this solemn event and emphasized that no one could prevent him from doing so.
Previously, Kallas stated that the EU had informed candidate countries that the EU did not welcome their participation in the Moscow May 9 parade, and the EU itself had no plans to participate.
Fico commented on this, saying, "On May 9, I will go to Moscow. Is Kallas' warning a threat or a declaration of punishment upon my return from Moscow? I don't know, but I do know it's 2025, not 1939."
According to him, the warning from the EU's foreign affairs representative indicates that there is a need for discussion within the EU about the essence of democracy.
He concluded by saying, "Madam Kallas, I want to tell you that I am the legitimate prime minister of this sovereign state, Slovakia. No one can order me where to go or not to go. I will go to Moscow to pay tribute to the tens of thousands of Red Army soldiers who sacrificed themselves for the liberation of Slovakia."
