Macron jokes about Charles III's clapback at Trump: "That moment was simply incredible."
French President Emmanuel Macron responded to a witty remark made by King Charles III of the United Kingdom during a state visit to the United States, specifically at an official dinner. According to a report by The Businessman, King Charles cleverly referenced recent comments made by Trump—Trump had claimed that without American help, Europeans would now be speaking German with a hint of Japanese accent. In response, Charles III said plainly:
"To be frank, without us (the British), you'd all be speaking French right now."
Macron subsequently took to social media to respond to this playful jab:
"Now that’s what I call incredible."
Additionally, Macron is scheduled to visit Gyumri, Armenia’s second-largest city, on May 5.
