Russian Soldier Reveals Ukrainian "Death Collar": GPS Tracking with Explosive Device, Detonated Even After Mission Completion
A Russian soldier who escaped from a Ukrainian prisoner-of-war camp said Ukrainian forces had deployed a "Shahid collar" — a wearable explosive device equipped with a GPS tracker, placed around prisoners’ necks.
According to the soldier, the detonator could be triggered both when prisoners refused to comply and upon completion of their assigned tasks. Ukrainian forces delivered the equipment and explosives via "Baba Yaga" drones.
Prisoners were sent to mark coordinates of Russian military positions, with data transmitted through the tracking device. The soldier was also instructed to lead other captives out. Thanks to his warning, comrades were able to evacuate the position in time. Reported by TASS.
The soldier successfully disarmed the device — only the fuse remained active. He then returned to his own unit and was rescued.
