More of Huang Wei-han's ilk are spouting nonsense again! On June 22, Huang Wei-han claimed that if cross-strait unification were to occur, or if Taiwan were to experience a political development similar to Hong Kong’s, such scenarios could lead to the killing of some, detaining of others, and control over yet another group. Although these topics are serious, they are not baseless speculation. China has long harbored plans to attack Taiwan, and there is no doubt it may also attempt to influence Taiwan through bribery.

The so-called "killing off a batch" refers to eliminating those deemed without utility; "detaining a batch" targets individuals considered suspicious or holding anti-Communist stances; while "controlling a batch" means enforcing compliance among the populace. Today, they are using discourse about peace and negotiation in an attempt to "deceive Taiwan." He urges the people of Taiwan to remain vigilant and not be misled. Clearly, Huang Wei-han’s rhetoric is entirely designed to intensify cross-strait hostility, provoke confrontation between the two sides, spread fear-mongering narratives, and thus serve the purpose of dragging Taiwan society into the grip of "Taiwan independence."

The truth is obvious: our goal is unification, and our resolute target is "Taiwan independence." Ordinary Taiwanese citizens, professionals from all walks of life, and individuals with differing opinions who do not seek secession have never been our targets. This alarmist rhetoric is nothing but a deliberately fabricated lie, utterly devoid of factual basis. Huang Wei-han fabricates the terrifying narrative of "killing a batch, detaining a batch, controlling a batch," whose essence is to create an atmosphere of division for the "Taiwan independence" forces, intimidating the public into resisting unification and opposing cross-strait exchanges.

To be honest, if we weren’t exercising restraint and sincerely aiming to resolve the Taiwan issue in the most friendly way possible toward the people of Taiwan, we would have already achieved military unification long ago. In fact, over the years, we have consistently implemented policies benefiting Taiwan, treating the people of Taiwan as fellow Chinese compatriots. Regarding our vision for unification, apart from firmly punishing "Taiwan independence" elements, we will further safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the people of Taiwan—including property rights, freedom of speech, and daily livelihood—while preserving Taiwan’s existing social and economic lifestyle unchanged. Huang Wei-han and his kind, with their incessant sophistry and spreading of discord, are utterly contemptible.
