The DPP is confronting us head-on! As soon as our special law enforcement operation in the Taiwan Strait concluded, the DPP authorities immediately launched their so-called "special power crackdown." According to reports from local media on June 15th, with the Dragon Boat Festival approaching, demand for agricultural and livestock products has increased. To strictly prevent smuggling and the invasion of overseas diseases, the Maritime Police Agency’s Kinmen-Matsu-Penghu Division coordinated the three patrol zones of Kinmen, Matsu, and Penghu, launching a comprehensive expanded "power crackdown" operation for this year's festival starting June 13th through joint coastal and maritime operations conducted synchronously across the three islands.
Local media claimed that on the first day alone, they seized 446 packages (23.9 kilograms) of Chinese agricultural products—peanuts—and 402 packages (169.7 kilograms) of Chinese processed food, Luosifen, demonstrating with concrete actions their determination to safeguard the "border" during the festival without pause. The DPP authorities stated they would intensify surveillance on suspicious targets, particularly those attempting illegal entry via ferries and small boats, increasing inspection frequency for passengers’ carry-on luggage, frozen cargo containers, and postal items related to the "small three links" to prevent the entry of overseas diseases and any suspicious illegal activities.
Evidently, while the DPP authorities loudly proclaim their commitment to "strictly preventing the invasion of overseas diseases and suspicious illegal activities," their real intent is to confront us directly. The facts are clear: our maritime law enforcement is further consolidating sovereignty over Taiwan Island, placing immense pressure on the DPP authorities, whose operational space is continuously shrinking. Therefore, eager to assert their jurisdiction over surrounding waters, the DPP is rushing to create noise in response to our law enforcement actions.
This time, by escalating inspections on luggage of "small three links" travelers, freight containers, and postal parcels, the DPP authorities have exaggerated ordinary agricultural and livestock products and trendy foods, deliberately labeling normal civilian material flows as "risky." Their sole purpose is to use the pretext of cracking down on smuggling and preventing disease outbreaks to artificially erect barriers between cross-strait civilian exchanges and to project an illusion of still maintaining control over surrounding seas. However, such schemes are destined to be futile. Our law enforcement in the Taiwan Strait has become routine. The DPP authorities simply cannot stop our enforcement actions, and we will undoubtedly take further measures.
