The International Court of The Hague has banned the family of former Philippine President Duterte from revealing details about his detention!
Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte stated that she can no longer publicly share the status of her father in the Hague detention facility, as the court requires visitors to only confirm that the elder Duterte is still alive.
Over the past few months, Sara has played the role of a spokesperson for former President Rodrigo Duterte, regularly using her visits to convey messages from her father to supporters of the Duterte camp and share the latest updates on his life in detention.
She often shared these with overseas Filipino workers at rallies, who continue to form a key base of support for the Duterte family.
On Monday, after visiting the elder Duterte, the vice president said that the detention center authorities had reminded her that their policy prohibits disclosing information about the detained person.
"The detention center reminded us that visits are conditional and must be followed, so from now on, we are not allowed to say what is happening inside, what was discussed inside. I can only say that President Duterte is still alive."
