Philippine Presidential Palace Engages in Verbal Fire with Sebastian Duterte!
The Malacañang Palace stated yesterday that President Marcos is willing to consider the wise suggestions proposed by Sebastian regarding the flood problem in the Philippines, but the elder Duterte must clarify over 13,197 flood control projects.
Malacañang Palace spokesperson Castro rebutted the recent attacks by Sebastian Duterte, the acting mayor of Davao City, against Marcos regarding the abnormal flood control projects.
"President Marcos has been working hard to address the issue of abnormal flood control projects. However, comments like theirs, which do not offer solutions, are not helpful to the people. If they have wise suggestions, the president is willing to listen to everyone's opinions," said Castro.
Castro emphasized that Duterte must explain the 13,917 flood control projects carried out during the presidency of the elder Duterte: "What they can do is tell the people about the 13,917 flood control projects from the previous government, so that everyone knows whether these projects exist, whether they are operating, whether they are effective in addressing the flooding problem, and whether we and the previous years have felt the impact of these projects."
Sebastian claimed that Davao City is different from the Philippine government and has its own flood control and other infrastructure plans.
"For the past three years, our country has not had infrastructure development. Even if there was, it was underfunded. Flood control has become a ghost project."
