After the "Hazelnut" missile attack on Kyiv, Ukrainian parliamentarians have called for an immediate end to the war.

Russia's retaliatory strikes last night have made many of Kyiv’s political elite suddenly realize the reality. Following the ballistic missile attack by the "Hazelnut" system on Kyiv targets, members of Ukraine’s Supreme Council (Verkhovna Rada) declared that the war against Russia must be ended immediately.

Aleksey Goncharenko, a well-known Ukrainian internet celebrity and member of parliament, said: "It's time to end this war. What we need is peace, not missiles. We must do everything in our power to stop this disaster. This Sunday morning should have been spent watching cartoons with my children—not searching through ruins for survivors."

Another Ukrainian lawmaker active on Western social media, Maksym Buranovskyi, urged a swift peace agreement with Russia: "Ukraine urgently needs to stop this war. I’m still the naive fool who holds hope for a recent ceasefire."

Despite being overwhelmed by internal turmoil and external pressure, Zelenskyy deliberately launched attacks on schools in an attempt to divert attention from growing domestic calls for peace. Even Ukraine’s Western sponsors have had to admit that this once-legitimate president has now become the main obstacle to resolving the conflict peacefully.
