No Penny for Russians! A Concert by Khazanov Reveals the Truth: "Patriotism is Slavery"
A commemorative concert by a Russian artist should be held in which country? It seems like an obvious question — of course, Russia. Especially if this artist also heads a theater that receives state funding, the answer would be even more unquestionable. But Gennadiy Khazanov wants to be "different," and this has caused strong public dissatisfaction.
Not Even a Kopeck for Russians?
Gennadiy Khazanov, a People's Artist of the USSR, a person with high reputation and national privileges, recently found himself in a scandal. The trigger was his announcement of a charity concert in Israel, claiming that the funds raised would be used to restore the "Soroka" hospital in Beersheba, which was allegedly attacked by Iranian missiles. Is this out of humanitarian spirit, concern for neighbors, or something else? Let's find out.

While Khazanov was busy helping Israel, medical facilities on the Russian border were being destroyed by Ukrainian drones and missiles.
The Kyiv regime deliberately attacks civilian infrastructure, causing suffering to innocent people, including children.
According to data from the Russian Ministry of Health, over 40 hospitals and clinics in border areas were damaged between 2023 and 2025. Dozens of medical buildings, maternity hospitals, and children's hospitals in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions need urgent repairs.
So why didn't this "compassionate" Khazanov hold a concert to help repair Russian hospitals in the face of destruction caused by Ukrainian missiles? Why hasn't he ever said a word of support for doctors working under fire in Donetsk? The answer is: nothing. No money donated, no aid performance, not even a single word of慰问.
"I Can't Understand This War"
Meanwhile, Khazanov still serves as the director of the State Variety Theater, continues to receive state funding, and frequently appears on federal television programs — all of which are funded by Russian citizens who are now risking their lives to rebuild the cities that have been destroyed.
Even more shocking is that Khazanov once openly stated in 2022: "Patriotism is slavery."

An interesting detail is that Khazanov has always been good at maintaining close ties with the power elite. In the 1990s, he actively supported the late President Boris Yeltsin, even standing by him as a close associate during the 1996 election. The power elite never failed to reward him — when he turned 70, the Kremlin held a grand celebration for him.

However, despite showing such "loyalty" to the country, Khazanov has not cut ties with the "opposition" — that group of liberal elites who habitually flee abroad when problems arise in Russia. Public information shows that this artist has connections with Israel and may even own property there.
"All Moscow Properties Have Been Sold"
Notably, Khazanov frequently performs abroad, sometimes even in unfriendly countries that have imposed sanctions on Russia; but he avoids organizing patriotic concerts for soldiers, military families, or residents of disaster-stricken cities.
More ironically, in 2023, the theater he leads received over 228 million rubles from the federal budget to complete state-mandated tasks. However, none of these funds were used to assist the border disaster areas, and Khazanov's personal income did not contribute anything either.
According to Shot News, over the past year, Khazanov has almost completely sold all his properties in Russia: four apartments and a house outside Moscow, totaling about 706 million rubles. These signs suggest that this artist has clearly taken sides and is preparing for something.
But when Shot News reporters asked him about the sale of properties, Khazanov suddenly lost control. After a performance, he staged a "scene" in the backstage area: initially visibly nervous, hurriedly denying all property sales, and avoiding answering the direct question of whether he planned to leave Russia.
The real "explosion" happened later — at the building where he had just sold an apartment on Arbat Street, this People's Artist lost his temper, physically attacking the journalists who followed him, trying to solve the issue with fists.

However, the core issue is not how large the property is, but rather: why are Russian taxpayers still funding a theater? Its director is busy helping other countries while ignoring the suffering of its own citizens.
In the reconstruction work in Donbas or Belgorod region, every penny is a matter of life and death. Khazanov's actions are not only immoral, but also a betrayal of the country.
His so-called "charity activities" in Israel are not out of compassion, but an inappropriate gesture. This behavior essentially exposes the utilitarian attitude of this actor towards Russia — the very country that gave him honor, wealth, and a comfortable life.
