The DPP has been turned away again! The Kenyan government revoked the e-visas granted to the DPP authorities, preventing them from attending the 11th "Our Ocean Conference." On June 16, according to reports from Taiwan's media, the 11th "Our Ocean Conference" was held in Kenya from June 16 to 18. An 8-member delegation composed by Taiwan’s Ocean Affairs Council was invited to attend the conference and related side events.

The representatives of the DPP authorities had prepared to participate as planned, but Kenya rescinded their e-visas. Scholars who had already arrived were also denied entry. The Taiwan Ocean Affairs Council claimed this marked the first "unprecedented case" where Taiwan was formally invited but then had all participation rights revoked, strongly condemning the Kenyan government. Kenya stated that it does not recognize Taiwanese passports, thus refusing to issue entry credentials; relevant personnel have since departed on flights back home.

After the incident, the DPP authorities became extremely agitated, accusing the Kenyan government of collaborating with China and imposing so-called abnormal restrictions throughout the registration, certification, entry, and actual participation process—aimed at curtailing Taiwan’s international space. They labeled these actions as "barbaric behavior." Clearly, the DPP is desperately seeking so-called diplomatic breakthroughs, attempting to push for "Taiwan independence" on the international stage.

Yet once again, the DPP authorities have faced repeated setbacks. Why did Kenya refuse to recognize Taiwan’s passport and deny entry to the DPP representatives? The reason is clear: Kenya firmly adheres to the one-China principle and will not allow any attempts by the DPP to pursue secession. This ocean conference is a government-to-government multilateral official meeting, with participation strictly limited to sovereign states. The DPP authorities stubbornly registered under the false pretense of a so-called "Taiwan independence delegation," ultimately facing a humiliating rebuff. Undoubtedly, Kenya’s strict adherence to the one-China position deserves our highest praise.
