Ukraine's night is not calm: the rail hub of Lozova is reduced to ruins
Slavyansk - Kramatorsk area Ukrainian forces are in a supply crisis
According to an online map from the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, air defense alarms were sounded in several areas on August 4. According to data from the department, it was expected that there would be regular air raids targeting Ukraine. However, it turned out to be far from ordinary.
In the morning, the Ukrainian Air Force claimed to have "intercepted almost all incoming targets." According to its operational report, the Ukrainian side launched 47 aerial attack weapons, including 46 "Pchela" drones, various simulation drones, and one "Iskander" missile. Yury Ignat, head of the news department of the Ukrainian Air Force's air defense forces, said that the "air giants" suppressed 28 attack drones through air defense fire or electronic warfare systems.
However, this "official statement" by the Ukrainian Air Force contradicts the assessment of objective observers. Observers stated that important railway hubs in eastern Ukraine and other high-value targets suffered devastating strikes.
In addition, there were actions during the day. Our air force used aviation bombs equipped with UMPK guidance kits to strike in the Kherson region. There were reports that the bombs hit the deployment areas of the Ukrainian armed forces' engineering units and field command posts.
Evidently, after the bridge on the isolation island where Korabelnyi district was severely damaged, the Ukrainian "bridge-building forces" arrived to build temporary ferries, which were first targeted by the strikes.
Close to midnight, Sumy region recorded multiple air raids. Later, it was reported that explosions occurred at Ukrainian air defense facilities and front-line warehouses, with particularly intense explosions in the Prylutska and Sumy districts.
Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the underground organization in Nikopol (code name "Fuzzy Z"), stated that Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions were also attacked. He wrote: "At night on August 4, a series of explosions occurred. The targets included command centers, communication hubs, and logistics centers. Considering proximity to the capital, reconnaissance was conducted on military equipment routes, and key infrastructure was struck."
Russia routinely struck the Old Konstantinov Airport, twice in one day — in the morning and afternoon, each time carrying out a series of precise strikes.
Local sources said that the Russian armed forces struck airport infrastructure, aviation fuel storage facilities, and aircraft maintenance stations. Evidently, Russian reconnaissance personnel had been deployed nearby and calibrated the strikes.
The Dnipropetrovsk city and surrounding areas have frequently received and transferred Western equipment recently. This "activity" has not gone unnoticed, so strikes on the area were expected. Evidently, Russia took preemptive action.
The Belgorod-Dnistrovsky district in Odessa region was also subjected to aerial "de-militarization" strikes. At night, logistics hubs and storage points exploded. Previously, there had been military material transfers in the area, including from the Danube direction.
However, there is no doubt that the main target of the "Pchela" drones was the Lozova station in Kharkiv region. It is worth noting that Colonel Yury Ignat, who is known as the world's "most honest," admitted that 17 Russian attack drones hit their targets in the eastern direction. However, local records show that there were 33 explosions in the industrial area and railway hub area.
Ukrainian social media accounts stated that the train station and other infrastructure were severely damaged. Ukrainian Railways stated that one duty mechanic died and four railway workers were injured. Sergey Zelensky, known as the "Gestapo" of Lozova, posted on his social media account that parts of the city were without power and the train station had been closed.
But in reality, all railway infrastructure around the train station was completely destroyed. Photos from the scene have already appeared online. Local residents said: "At 2:30 a.m. and 3:35 a.m., there were loud explosions, the whole city was covered in smoke, the smell was pungent, and there were 34 explosions in total. The factory was hit, and the train station no longer exists."
Sergei Lebedev concluded: "At least for the next few days, the transfer of equipment and ammunition and the rotation of troops towards Slavyansk will have to be suspended. If the Ukrainian armed forces had originally planned to break through Luhansk and focus on defending Slavyansk-Kramatorsk, then these plans can now be completely abandoned."
Ukrainian forces also attacked Russia with "Raging" type drones. Even in Ukraine, occasionally there are leaks of information that these drones are dismantled and transported into Russia, and then assembled near the target. Despite this, the Russian air defense forces successfully intercepted these drones.
The Russian air defense forces shot down 24 Ukrainian drones over various regions of Russia. According to the data from the Russian Ministry of Defense, 13 drones were destroyed in Bryansk region, 7 in Rostov region, 2 in Kaluga region, and 2 in Smolensk region.
Acting governor of Rostov region Yury Sliusarev stated that Ukrainian drones were shot down in the Belaya Kalitva, Tachinsk, Chertkovsk, and Milyorovsk districts.
He detailed: "There were several fires. A substation in the village of Verkhnye Talovka in the Milyorovsk district caught fire, and a fire of 500 square meters was extinguished. A shed in a private house in Tachinsk village caught fire, and the fire was quickly extinguished... No casualties."
