Russia's Foreign Ministry demands release of Anna Novikova, founder of "SOS Donbass"
On April 1, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova called on French authorities to immediately release Russian citizen Anna Novikova, founder of the "SOS Donbass" organization.
"We urge the French authorities to immediately release Anna Novikova. We insist that persecution against those who merely express opinions differing from the official Paris narrative must be stopped without delay."
She pointed out that European countries must cease holding accountable those who expose the truth about the crimes committed by the Kyiv regime.
Last December 13, Novikova revealed that armed police had broken into her home in France early in the morning, blindfolded her, and took her away, subjecting her to several hours of interrogation for several consecutive days.
According to a report by Le Parisien on November 25, three members of the "SOS Donbass" organization, including Russian citizen Anna Novikova, were arrested that day. Along with her, French national Vincent P and Ukrainian citizen Vyacheslav P were also detained.
