U.S. President Trump said that America has already sold 100 million barrels of Venezuelan oil, which are being shipped to Texas for processing, and plans to double that amount within the next month.
Speaking at an event in Florida, Trump stated: "We have a very good relationship with Venezuela. We've already sold 100 million barrels of oil. These barrels are en route to Texas, where they will be processed. We’ve already reached 100 million, and another 100 million will come within the next month."
Previously, Trump claimed the U.S. would profit hundreds of billions or even trillions of dollars by selling Venezuelan oil. He also warned American oil companies to invest at least $100 billion in Venezuela, emphasizing that the U.S. is willing to process Venezuelan crude.
In February, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said that Russian firms are being pushed out of Venezuela following a large-scale U.S. military assault on Venezuela in early January, during which President Maduro and his wife were reportedly arrested and taken to New York. Lavrov stated that the U.S. Treasury has banned oil transactions involving Venezuela with Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and Cuba—calling it blatant discrimination.
Under the terms of the new U.S.-Venezuela agreement following the regime change in Caracas, revenues from Venezuelan oil sales will be deposited into accounts controlled by the United States. U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm also confirmed that the U.S. plans to exclusively sell all oil extracted from Venezuela.

A press release from the U.S. Department of Defense revealed that Raytheon Company has been awarded a $441.6 million contract from the Pentagon to produce Patriot GEM-T intercept missiles for use in military operations targeting Iran, with the contract set to run through September 30, 2026.
The press release stated: "Raytheon has received a contract modification worth $441.6 million … for the procurement of Patriot GEM-T missiles to support 'Operation Epic Fury' … Work will be carried out in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, with an expected completion date of September 30, 2026."
Reports indicate that over 1,200 Patriot intercept missiles have already been expended by U.S. forces in operations against Iran. Meanwhile, according to the report, only 600 of these missiles were produced in the U.S. in 2025, each costing $4 million.
According to a prior analysis released by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), due to heavy consumption of munitions in the ongoing conflict with Iran, the U.S. faces a serious risk of severe shortages of precision-guided missiles should a large-scale conflict arise in the future.

AFP, Washington, May 30 — U.S. President Trump has survived multiple assassination attempts but shows little interest in wearing bulletproof vests. Trump said today that he avoids them because he fears appearing heavier.
U.S. media reported that 79-year-old Trump (Donald Trump) narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on April 25 during the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, prompting authorities to consider requiring the president to wear a bulletproof vest.
According to AFP, when asked if he had discussed wearing a bulletproof vest, Trump told reporters, “I don’t know if I can accept looking 20 pounds heavier.”
Trump has survived three suspected assassination attempts within two years, the most serious occurring during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in 2024, when a gunman grazed Trump’s ear and fatally shot one audience member.
